Has anyone done the light test for glaucoma? I think I wasted 50 bucks.? Some people do not like any of the glaucoma tests. But, it is not the smartest thing to put off. Glaucoma has been nicknamed the "sneaky thief of sight" because the loss of visual field often occurs gradually over a long time and may only be recognized when it is already quite advanced. Once lost, this damaged visual field can never be recovered. Worldwide, it is the second leading cause of blindness. Glaucoma affects one in two hundred people aged fifty and younger, and one in ten over the age of eighty. Even though the chances of having it are only one in two hundred for people under the age of 50, I would really not like to be one of those who had it and let it go unchecked. It should be part of a yearly eye health exam for you. People with vision loss would tell you that they would pay ANYTHING to have their vision back. Just keep that in mind! have a good day, dude! I told my dr. if he could give me three names of people my age with glaucoma-- then I would do the test. He said, "Well, lets just wait until next time." Yes, I have and I hated and I agree, seems like a waste of time and money. |
