Does reading, viewing television and surfing the Internet worsen my glaucoma condition? |
Opthalmology My grandmother suffers from glaucoma, she is in her 80's. Her doctor said that as long as you are not watching T.V in complete darkness, or working on the computer in complete darkness it is ok for a few hours a day. Watching a T.V and A Computer screen in complete darkness puts to heavy of a strain on the eyes, and therefore causes the pressure in your eyes to increase worsening your glaucoma. As for reading, the doctor suggested to her to get a book magnifier, or purchase larger print books to lessen the strain on the eye. But keep in mind she is in her 80's, and has lived with glaucoma since she was in her 40's. No. The causes of glaucoma are not muscular. hahahahahahahaha |
