Can the blood supply in the optic nerve increased which slows due to glaucoma & ageing?

my grandfather is suffering from glaucoma . he is 74 years old. blood supply in his optic nerve is lessing so is there any method which increase the blood supply. Is there any surgery (no matter how expensive it is ) that can help . can the further deterioation in vision be stopped .any particular doctor or hospital in the world where this can be cured. till now there is no method which can regenerate or replace the optic nerve but if there is any method please let me know i will be very greatfull to him/her.
thank you

Your grandfather will have been prescribed eye drops which he must take to control the pressure behind the eye.
He will also need to have his visual and pressures chacked by a consultant every 6 months. Glaucoma affects different people in different ways, it may be that your grandfathers condition may not change for the rest of his life if he continues treatment. however, with regular checks, he will be treated accordingly. Is he still able to drive? My friend has glaucoma and when driving it is as though he has a 'puddle on his lap, and he has to overcome the peripheral visibility by turning his head a little more when looking to the side.
I hope this helps a little.
