What's the risk that im going to get Glaucoma?

Hiya. Im 14 in november.

I had my eye's tested again the other day and he said the pressure in my eye's was high. He said it can range from 10 - 20 and mine was 24. He said that i could have a high chance of getting Glaucoma, since my eye sight is getting worse, ( I had to get my glasses 5X stronger than they where a year ago, i cant see distance )

What's the percentage that i could get Glaucoma? Thanks :)

A pressure of 24 does not necessarily mean that you have or will develop glaucoma.Ask your doctor to measure your corneal thickness.A thicker cornea will give you a falsely high pressure reading. Also get a automated field analysis done.

you may just have ocular hypertension, which means that it is higher than normal but normal for you, like blood pressure for people, just monitor it yearly and you should be fine, glass prescription has nothing to do with gluacoma, only in the very end stages and if you are going blind from glaucoma, so don't WORRY
