Is it possible that I have Glaucoma?

Im 15 years old can I have glaucoma? In most of the sites i've been on it says it typically found in older people like in their 40's.

Glaucoma is a group of eye disorders in which the optic nerves connecting the eyes and the brain are progressively damaged.

This damage can lead to reduction in side (peripheral) vision and eventual blindness. Other signs and symptoms may include bulging eyes, excessive tearing, and abnormal sensitivity to light (photophobia).

The term "early-onset glaucoma" may be used when the disorder appears before the age of 40.

So in other words you can have glaucoma before 40, i suggest you consult a doctor.

I guess you should visit the doctors If you have a optical nerves problem characteristics. My mother is a medic but she said it she never encountered with such thing. Can you please describe your vision problems? I think It will be better for a the people to understand what is wrong.

I'm not sure if you have glaucoma or not. Maybe you should be talking to your doctor to put your mind at rest. Best of luck!

Talk to or go see a doctor.
