Can glaucoma cause by cortisteroids taken for inflammation of the eye(psuedotumor) be cured? |
My mother has blurry vision in one eye due to glaucoma, but can't treat the glaucoma until her eye pressure is down. She is also waiting for her cornea to heal. Will she regain vision in that eye once glaucoma is treated or once she off the cortisteroids? sadly no Only a doctor can tell.If glaucoma is detected in the early stages, it is usually treated by eye drops. But when it is advanced both laser and conventional surgery are used to treat glaucoma depending on the type of glaucoma .More details and information at http://eye-care.in/glaucoma.html... Vision loss due to glaucoma cannot be regained. But you must ensure that her glaucoma be treated to have her IOP lower in order to prevent any further loss. She can also ask her eye doctor to check whether she's having any further optic nerve damage |
