What is glaucoma &how is it treated?
it is pressure behind the eye. Your dr. will prescribe drops for your eyes , to be used every night from the time you are told you have it. I'm an optician. You need to talk to your eye dr. about this if you think you have it . There's brochures on it.After you start drops , you need to be checked once a year at least . If not treated right way , you can go blind. Also, for some odd reason, it hits the black race more than whites. Glaucoma is higher than normal pressure in the eyes. It is treated with prescription drops. Only an eye doctor can diagnosis it but if it vital you have your eyes checked if you think you have it, or there is a family history, because you could lose your sight.
