Cyclodiode laser treatment for glaucoma?


I have today heard that I need this procedure as the eye drops I have been taking are now causing unpleasant side effects. Has anyone had this treatment and can tell me what it was like and what after effects there are - how long must I "take it easy" and refrain from driving? This has been a bit of a sudden decision and I am very anxious
