What does an eye infected w/glaucoma look like?

Glaucoma is a disorder that involves high intraocular pressure that damages the nerve fiber layer in the retina. This all happens inside the eye and is not usually visible without a fundus exam to look at the optic nerve. If it is an acute case of angle closure or a chronic case that has not been treated, the eye can be very red, harder than normal to the touch through the eyelids, and the patient can fill nauseous.
