Will air pressure of flying effect my glaucoma? Its an 8 hour flight? I have never thought about it , But it very well could. But I don't think so. The cabin is pressurized so the only thing affected would be alcohol because altitude is still a factor. Not at all. My mother has flown to Europe (6 hour flight) and she has advanced glaucoma. She didn't report any problems. I flew to Australia (20 hour flight) with a sinus headache. It didn't get worse, but it didn't get better either. Glaucoma is a problem with optic nerves, the high pressure is just an indication. Air pressure is NOT going to have any affect on your nerves. the cabin is pressurized so you will not have a problem have a great trip and don't forget to take your eye drops |
