My Friend refused Beta blockers (trimitol i think) for her glaucoma?

It's been a few months and her condition deteriorated. She is now taking it. Can her eye sight improve now?

i'm not really sure how beta-blockers would help, but i think her doc may have made a mistake somewhere - why would she need beta-blockers for her eyesight? beta-blockers are for the blood aren't they?
Why on earth did she refuse it?

Unfortunately ant damage sustained by the eye during the period without treatment is likely to be permanent.
GP for more years than I care to remember
I refused to take beta-blockers . I was glad I did as I am now on Calcium Channel Blockers for variant angina. If I had taken beta blockers they would have made me much worse (as did Heparin, but that's another story). Anyway - I'm glad she is on the right medication but she is fully entitled to do as she wants; I'm glad she was intelligent enought oread up on side effects - too may people do not (I was oneof them but not anymore).
