Anyone know of an anti-depressant that does not cause eye pressure increase in people suffering from glaucoma Zoloft~ I haven't had any problems with it, except for drowsiness which does take a toll of you but its not as bad. Good Luck! Source(s): Personal Experience WEED!!! Church. Here's one that works without drugs: http://www.seekwellness.com/bookstore/bo... Cured me in three or four weeks: http://www.geocities.com/seabulls69/anti... Many antidepressants affect the blood pressure (such as Norpramin, Tofranil, Aventyl, Pamelor, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cymbalta...). While others( mostly Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors like Celexa,Lexapro,Prozac,Paxil, Pexeva, Zoloft) have fewer side effects than other antidepressants. Some of the side effects that can be caused by SSRIs include dry mouth, nausea, nervousness, insomnia, sexual problems and headache. Usually SSRIs do not greatly affect blood pressure but then again I don't know what medication you are taking for your glaucoma, so go see your doctor and ask him if it's OK for you to take antidepressants! |
