My friend has gonorrhea and wont do anything about it.?

she has unprotected sex with her boyfriend all the time. he has had sex with 11-12 women before her also unprotected. she has itching inside her vagina and around her vulva. she also has frequent urination; sometimes painful. she uses the withdrawl method, let's him ejaculate in her using the 10-day method....dk. i told her to get tested and she refuses. she doesnt even like sex but she lets him do it even when she says no. please help she will not listen to me :(

How do you know she has gonorrhoea? She would need to be tested to know this.

Getting a check up does sound like a good idea, though, given her and her partner's history. While she is there she should talk to her doctor about a more reliable method of contraception, too. Withdrawal is NOT a reliable way of avoiding unplanned pregnancies.

"She lets him do it even when she says no" does not sound good to me. Consent is not an optional extra in sex.

It sounds like she needs some support in looking after herself. Perhaps she is scared of getting help, or feels like she might be judged. Maybe you could offer to go with her to the clinic.

Even though she needs to use protection and get tested, her symptoms sound more like a yeast infection. She can buy something to treat that over the counter.

wow...no offense but shes pretty stupid...gonorrhea is something u can get rid of....with a series of pills....u should tell her if she doesnt get herself checked out she will be steril and never be able to have babies. if i had a friend inform me of that id def go to the doctor....and make her bf also so she wont get it again! good luck with that

How old is your friend? If she is underage, I would go to a trusted adult and tell them the situation.

This sounds like a very dangerous situation. She is putting herself at risk for a lot more than gonorrhea (which can be treated by a MD).
