If i had Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, HPV, Chlamedia, AND Herpes, BUT......? |
If i had Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, HPV, Chlamedia, AND Herpes, BUT i used protection with my GAY MALE partner, what might be the possibility of transmitting any of these to him? For the bacterial infections - gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, and chlamydia, as long as the ocndom was correctly used and did not break, pretty good. You could reduce the chances using a condom, but not eliminate it. nothing is 100% you have to protect yourself the best way you know how, and currently it's with condoms. If I had to say I would tell you the a condom can protect you against Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, and Chlamedia. But HPV, and Herpes are transmitted by skin to skin contact so no condom can protect you against that. Just be careful and know who you having sex with I believe G, S, and C are all curable diseases. Therefore, after they have been successfully treated, you could have sex without transmitting them. HIV is not curable and can lead to death. HPV and HSV are not curable, but they are generally manageable conditions. Both H's are transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, so condoms, medication, and lack of symptoms are still not 100% ways to not transmit the diseases. Transmission can occur through oral sex as well. There is currently no FDA approved test for men to detect HPV unless there are visible symptoms (aka warts). The Gardisil vaccination for HPV is also only for women. |
