Where do I go to get tested for gonorrhea? (what kind of doctor), would I need parental consent, & how much $? |
I live in Florida. You can go to your local health department and you do not need parental consent. You can also go to your family doctor or a gynecologist. I think treatment at the health department is free. If you are covered by a parents insurance you would only have to pay the co-pay, which is normally $10-$25 depending on the insurance plan. You could also ask your school nurse. Good luck to you! Call and make appt. at your health dept. Since your sexually active, I would ask for a complete check-up with testing for all std's, a HIV test, and discuss birth control. Being on birth control is not a free ticket to go out and have all the sex you want--as you see this may have already caused you some real problems and your so young. At some point in all of this you need to think about taking responsibility for your actions. Go to planned parenthood or a free clinic. You shouldn't need consent, just the money to have the test done. Call and find out first. Then stop having sex. You're far too young... and this just proves it. no parental consent. at ur doctors |
