How to detect gonorrhea?

My partner was diagnosed with gonorrhea last week and he is currently udner medication. I was diagnosed with UTI, and have finished with my medication. I had a urinalysis to check if my UTI is cleared. There are no other abnormalities in the result of the test. Is it possible that I acquired gonorrhea but it was undetected in the urinalysis? Thank you!

A urine test and/or a swab test can be performed. A blood test will NOT work, like the first two guys said.

If they weren't look for gonorrhea then they most likely didn't test for it and were only looking for the urinary tract infection to show up.

If you believe you have gonorrhea you should be tested, especially because your partner already has it. Gonorrhea can cause some serious health problems for men and women including sterility if left untreated.
blood test
yes, gonorhea is caused by an organism called nisseria gonnorhea and is usually detected by a blood test, about half of all woman and 60% of men remain asymtomatic, so go get a blod test!!!!
i'm a doctor
All STD tests are thourough and tests done are across the board from HIV to gonorrhea. If I was you I would run from my partner. The next step is death due to infection. Good luck.
gonnorrhea cant be detected in urine..you need a wet prep or std test
You should ask your Dr if they checked you for Gonorrhoea..that is the simplest thing..
