Strep Throat or Gonorrhea of the throat? |
I know that I continue to keep asking questions about this, but what are the differences in symptoms between the two (if any)? There aren't any...gonorrhea is nicknamed "the great imitator" because it is usually asymptomatic in men. If it is causing sore throat (pharyngitis), the only for sure way to know is to let a medical professional swab your throat and then culture it. Source(s): Medical student nope, all the same What (or who) have you been doing to go on about this? You probably have strep...unless you've been deepthroating someone with gonorrhea, then you probably have that. Please just go see a doctor and have them do a throat culture. Neither one is anything to mess around with. possibly not any differences - you WILL have to have a culture, or tests done to determine which organism is causing sore throat... they may appear different though when the doctor looks in your throat, but you still need to see a doctor. |
