AM I GONNA GET HIV!?!?!?

Theres this spazzy girl in my school who does some rly strange things to get attention, and a couple days ago, i saw a kid at the end of the hall grab his arm, and he looked like he was in pain, and i saw the girl run by him laughing, and then , she ran over to my best friend, who grabbed his arm too, and before i could react, she stabbed me in the chest with a thumb tack, not hard, but enough to draw blood, and my buddy told me she was doin it all day to people (watta crazy %$#@#) anyways, she stuck alot of people with that thumb tack before me n im worried of contracting a virus like HIV, and im rly nervous. When i got home, i was hyperventilating, and i told my mom, whos a nurse
she said it was no big deal, because i wasnt poked deep enough to contract HIV, and even if i was, the chances of me getting it are low, and i want to believe her, but im still scared,
any advice?
-danny

Listen to your mom.

your moms right you wont get hiv i was freaking out about somthing like that last year except it was with a big hoop earring that this one guy found in the street and then scratched the whole back of my neck with i was freaking out but now looking back i totally overreacted.

Tell her you won't report her if you can punch her in the face. She'll either get in trouble, or you can unleash some of that anxiety she caused you. If she opts for the principal's office, punch her in the face anyway.

Sweetheart, I am so sorry to hear that you are so afraid. I'm no medical expert but I am a Christian. I will keep you in my prayers tonight Danny that the Lord may keep you safe and healthy. Pray for yourself, too. It's better than any medicine or diagnosis!

Your mum is right. HIV is very difficult to get and cannot live long outside the body.
But if you are really worried about it ask your mum to take you to a doctor to discuss it and have a blood test if you choose.

calm down. even if a person was exposed to HIV it doesn't mean they have it. it has to be absorbed into your blood stream.
talk to your mom again and tell her you are still worried, talk to a doctor if you are still worried.

Just get the girl suspended for stabbing you with a deadly weapon.

Your moms a nurse, I think she knows.

And if you DO get HIV, sew the girl and her parents and live the good life with their money for the rest of yours.

Just listen to your mom. Because she is a nurse she is probably right. If she though that it was something to worry about then I would. You are stressing yourself out for something that isn't important!

you are most likely not going to get hiv because one, like your mom said the cut was probably not deep enough to contract hiv, two, some people are prone to getting hiv, your body naturally tries to fight it!!

Wow, I think you need to chill out a little bit. If your mom is a nurse and she told you not to worry, then don't worry.

Don't worry about it, same thing happened to me but it was with a pocketknife and I just about fainted by worry!

Just get tested and don't freak out about it. You may be making yourself sick over nothing.

Report her *** to the school. That's sick of her.

Fuggedda bout it

ull be fine, if ur mom says its ok and shes a nurse, then ur ok

mom knows best

your mom seems to know what she is talking about..
i am sure you fne

you are so stupid

You should get a list of everyone she stabbed, and report it to the office at school. Chances are slim, but there is a chance you could have contracted HIV. It is true the HIV virus dies almost instantly in air, but there are other diseases like hepatitis that it would be a good idea to be checked for. The girl who caused all of this should be expelled for doing something so stupid, and if it was me, I would make a demand to your school that she is punished. It might even be worth talking to an attorney about, if the school decides to do nothing.
