Help?? i'm freaking out, could i have hiv?

in early march i have a black man oral sex and a bit of *** got in my mouth, it was unprotected and i barely knew him and it was a one time thing and now he won't speak to me but i am terrified that i might have contracted hiv.

what are the chances that i have it?
i got tested in late march and i'm getting tested again when i go for my yearly gyno appointment.

please help i'm so nervous and scared.

Well I believe that your chances of becoming infected with HIV through a little *** in your mouth isn't highly likely. Even if this person did have HIV and you got some *** in your mouth there isn't alot of evidence that shows it spreads very easily through the throat cavity. If your that scared and don't want to wait til your next gyno appointment head the health department 3 months after the incident to get tested for HIV. They will charge you maybe 20.00 at the most.. Waiting 3 months after the incident should give you a very accurate answer to the question if you caught HIV from this man or not. You may hear that waiting 6 months is the only accurate timeline for HIV testing but that is based on older times. Our technology now is more advanced. Im pretty sure you are fine though

You had ZERO risk.

There's only a theriotical risk of HIV being transmitted via oral sex,
but there's no documented case.
You won't be the first, don't worry about it.

If you still can't relax, you can always get tested at 6 weeks mark (95%~99% detectable) or 3 months (conclusive).

ok sweetie next time use a condom... unless he had it at the time of the bite then no... and chances are that if you tested negative in march then you probably dont have it... the more you think about it the more youre going to convence yourself that something is wrong w/ you, i know this is a life changing thing but try and get your mind off of the situation... good luck

You could have easily contracted HIV by having sex with someone you don't know. I had unprotected sex with someone I did know and got it, but I went to the doctor and the gave me a shot of something and it killed it.

chances are low unless you had an open wound in the mouth and even then you're looking at a very slim chance. get tested regularly as it can be awhile before the antibodies show up in the blood.

!.Get tested again.
2. Start praying.
3. Don't ever have unprotected sex with someone you don't know really well ever again!
God Bless you for being honest and asking for help.

If you have pizza sauce coming out of your nose then you're infected.

If he's infected, then there is a high possibility that you contracted it!

all I want to know is why the hell suck some **** u don't even hardly know? that is just not right! don't u think of these things before?

I doubt it because then you would have had acute HIV sypmtoms by now. Best to get tested again anyway

If he has HIV the you have HIV. Next time use a condom and don't do it with someone you don't know!!!

Only way to know is to get tested again, did you have symptoms of HIV?

does it really matter what race the guy was?

HIV is an infection with the human immunodeficiency virus. HIV interferes with your body's ability to effectively fight off viruses, bacteria and fungi that cause disease, and it can lead to AIDS, a chronic, life-threatening disease.

When first infected with HIV, you may have no symptoms at all. Some people develop a flu-like illness, usually two to six weeks after being infected. Early HIV symptoms may include:

Fever
Headache
Fatigue
Swollen lymph glands
Rash
These early symptoms usually disappear within a week to a month and are often mistaken for those of another viral infection. During this period, you are very infectious. More persistent or severe symptoms of HIV infection may not appear for 10 years or more after the initial infection.

As the virus continues to multiply and destroy immune cells, you may develop mild infections or chronic symptoms such as:

Swollen lymph nodes 鈥?often one of the first signs of HIV infection
Diarrhea
Weight loss
Fever
Cough and shortness of breath
Signs and symptoms of later stage HIV infection include:

Persistent, unexplained fatigue
Soaking night sweats
Shaking chills or fever higher than 100 F (38 C) for several weeks
Swelling of lymph nodes for more than three months
Chronic diarrhea
Persistent headaches

I think you would at least have some kind of symptom by now.. but yeah make sure you get tested soon.. and again in a few months just to be positive! good luck!! god bless! let me know how things go
