My boyfriend is HIV positive; what should I do?

I've been dating my boyfriend, Leon, for four years now. I'm seventeen and am considering having sex with him for the first time. Here's the problem: Leon was born HIV positive. What should I do to be safe?

don't have sex....sex is not important in a relationship and if he loves u he will understand...

Obviously, you have a high risk relationship, and having sex with him would always have to be with a condom, and you can forget about having children with him, ever.

It's not his fault, but it is an incurable disease.

If I were you, I'd consider the factors about the risk, children, etc., and whether or not you wish to continue the relationship in view of this.

You're young, only 17, and you don't want to make any hasty decision that might ruin the rest of your life.

To be safe; don't have sex, at least not yet.

Perhaps someday there will be a cure, but until that time, sex with him is not safe, even with a condom.

Abstinence is always the safest bet... but failing that, he should use a condom. Something to remember... condoms do break around 2% of the time and misapplication causing the condom to slip or rip is even more frequent than that.

My personal experience in the few times that I needed a condom was 1 out of the 6 I used broke.

OH NO!!! CHILD, STAY AWAY ARE YOU CRAZY????????
PLEASE DON'T TELL ME ABOUT PROTECTION EITHER, IT COULD BREAK. STAY AWAY STOP EVEN THINKING. YOU HAVE YOUR WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF YOU GIRL.

both of you need to talk to your doctor together to learn the risks and proper ways to protect yourselves..... condoms are not 100% effective just to let you know...

no body can answer this question.
only god can answer this question.

At least you know he loves you enough to tell you the truth.
You both should see a doctor and discuss any ways of doing it.

You need to discuss this with your gynecologist.

DONT HAVE SEX WITH HIM

wow what a risk! condom condom condom

break up or condom
