How safe is it to have sextual intercourse with a person thats HIV positive but taking treetment? These other answer are very wrong! Whether or not a person with HIV is on treatment, safer sex, such as sex while using a condom, is pretty darn safe. Condoms work! As long as the condom is used properly and remain intact, there is pretty much no risk of transmission. It is more dangerous to have unprotected sex with someone claiming to be HIV negative than to have protected sex with someone who is HIV positive. Also, when treatment is working, a person's viral load (the amount of virus in their blood) can become undetectable, which although they are not cured, means they are significantly less likely to transmit the virus through bodily fluids. But the point is, as long as the person's semen/vaginal fluids/blood don't contact the other person's mucous membranes (anus/vagina) or any open wound, its essentially safe. Don't let ignorance and fear get in the way of love or a good time! not safe at all.. i would find a nother way to have fun with the person i loved if they had hiv.. if i really loved them.. not responcible if u actually do this i would have sex with them.. and if i got it.. at least i would have it with someone i love no not at all, the treatment only helps them and does not stop the spreading of the virus what so ever, it isnt even safe if using a condom Not safe at all even if a condom is used. |
