How many women realize that HPV can lead to cervical cancer and increase the risk of HIV infection? HPV doesn't lead to HIV, they're both sexually transmitted diseases - don't think HPV makes you more likely to get HIV at subsequent "sexual congresses", but I may be wrong. There are more and more women who do know the risks of HPV, but telling teenage girls is the most important, and the fact that you can only get it with intercourse. Not enough people! It's also true that many people do not realise how male circumcision protects the woman from HPV and subsequent cervical cancer to a remarkable extent. |
