How can we end discriminstion and stigma towards HIV+ people on college campuses?

In a recent survey of Beijing college students surveyed by the China Youth University for Political Sciences, only 33% of Beijing college students said HIV positive students should be allowed in their classrooms. Seven percent said HIV positive students should be barred from enrolling altogether and 31% said they should be allowed in, but 鈥渨ith certain restrictions.鈥?

Educating the faculty and the studentbody is the only way to stop such discrimination. The few ways to spread HIV should be really taught to this campus. The fear MAY be that HIV students will not disclose that they have HIV and infect sexual partners. The more that the discrimination persists, the less likely any student who IS HIV positive will be honest in disclosing this. Source(s): counselor
There is always going to be that stupid kind of thing.
Just because people are so uninformed/ narrow minded.

But I like the fact that someone thinks like I do :]
Education about how HIV is spread will help this. If people know how to avoid becoming infected their fear will decrease.
by promoting abstinence is the cure for AIDS as well as not doing drugs or sharing needles. think about it, most ppl catch AIDS from promiscuous sex, as well as doing illegal drugs. if they didn't do it, they wouldn't catch. Only a handful catch it from a blood transfusion since the blood is screened better than what it was in the 1980s.

There are so many illnesses out there such as diabetes, cancer, IBD, heart disease, etc. that ppl didn't get themselves by doing something harmful to themselves. There is no cause/cure for these diseases.AIDS is preventable....the others aren't.
