What's HPV 14?!?

I know HPV 16 can and will cause cervical cancer.
But what about HPV 14?! Where can I find picture links to genital warts?! Please HELP!

Please see the web page for more images on Genital warts.

There are more than 100 types of HPV, with 16 being only the most common strain found in cervical cancer patients. HPV 14 is simply another strain of the virus

HPV type 14 is not included in the HPV test screening.

The HPV test does not screen for specific HPV types.

Specific HPV type testing is usually done in research. Was this type testing done with a genital wart?

I am not sure what test was done to screen for specific HPV type 14.

路 The genital HPV types can be divided into two broad groups (low-risk and high-risk HPVs) depending upon their association (or lack of association) with cancers of the lower genital tract.
路 Low-risk HPV types (6, 11, 42,43,44, 54,61,70,72, and 81) are virtually never found in cancers.
路 High-risk HPV types (16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68, 73, and 82) have been identified in cancers of the cervix, vagina, vulva, anus, and penis.
路 The most common types detected in genital warts are HPV 6 and HPV 11.
路 The most common HPV type detected in both normal women and in women with cervical cancer is HPV 16.
路 The majority of cervical cancers (80%) are caused by just 4 HPV types (16, 18, 31, and 45).
Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (malignant or benign)Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis 5, 8, 9, 10, 14, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 37, 38

First question I have is how do you know you have HPV 14.

HPV 14 is not included in the screening done with the HPV test. HPV specific type testing is done mostly in research due to the expense.

The hc2 High-Risk HPV DNA Test庐 (DNAwithPap鈩?* using Hybrid Capture庐 2 (hc2) technology is an In Vitro
nucleic acid hybridization assay with signal amplification using microplate chemiluminescence for the qualitative
detection of thirteen high-risk types of human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA in cervical specimens. The HPV types
detected by the assay are the high-risk HPV types 16/18/31/33/35/39/45/51/52/56/58/59/68. The hc2 High-Risk
HPV DNA Test cannot determine the specific HPV type present.
