How does a HPV shot feel compared to a Hepatitis B shot?

The most recent vaccine I've had was the Hepatitis B series of shots. I didn't think they were too bad.
I'm sceduled to have the first HPV shot tomorow and I'm scared out of my mind. I've heard that they are more painful than most shots and this is partly because they are injected into a muscle. Does anyone know if they are worse feeling than the Hepatitis B shots? Where are the Hepatitis B shots given (into a muscle or not)? What are some other shots given in the muscle (so I have something to compare to if the Hepititis one isn't)? Thanks so much guys! I'm really scared!

Hope this is the right section to put this in--I wasn't sure.

Both of my daughters have had this shot and both say it burns for about 10 seconds but doesn't really "hurt". They were both fine with nolasting effects after the shot! And both are scared to death of needles. Just close your eyes and think of something else and it will be over before you know it!

It's a little worse then the Hepatitis B shot. You can feel it going in you and it burns a little bit.

Well I have had 2 of the 3 HPV shots, and besides the needle prick, I haven't felt any pain at all!

It does burn a little and your entire arm will be sore for an hour or two. I just had my first a couple of weeks ago. The nurse told me the other two would not be as bad as the first.

They are mildy painful, but nothing to be afraid of.

i don't mean to scare you more, but the HPV shot is given in 3 rounds. i got the first round back in september and it was awful for me. when they inject the shot into you, you can feel it burning. and i'm sure this does not happen with everyone, but after i got mine i passed out and fell on the floor. but i have a history of passing out, so i don't think that's a common thing with the HPV shot. but most women that i've talked to who have gotten this shot say that is is uncomfortable getting it and that it does hurt and there is a considerable amount of pain. i have also had the Hep. B shots, and i thought that they were much easier and less painful than the HPV. i have not returned to get my other two rounds of HPV, because in my personal opinion the shot was to painful for me and i don't want to pass out again and i am not sexually active.
and just so you know, the HPV is shot into your arm below your shoulder. i hope this helped. and good luck when you get it :)

Any time you get a shot there will be some discomfort. We are for one putting a needle in your muscle. Number 2 injecting a foreign substance in your body and number 3 the substance injected takes up space for a time in the muscle.

jus think of ice cream!! :D xx
