HPV shot questions?

how bad does it hurt?

and is the only way you can get HPV through sex?

if you have skin contact with someone who is affected with HPV (in that area of course) then you are at risk of getting it.

they dont hurt that much, except there are 3 (each a month apart.) just dont look and you'll be fine.

It just feels like any other shot u've evr got in your life and yes.

this shot is very helpful. and no it's not like any other shot, this one hurts real bad. its like a really bad sting. just drink Tylenol or Advil so it could ease the pain because it might give you a fever.

good luck .

NO sex is not the only way you can get it! My Cousin is going through this right now. It could be caused by many things. Go to your doctor and ask them about it. You will get more honest answers from him or her, instead of people who don't know anything about the topic and they are just answering for points! I don't know if my cousin is going to get the shot or not, but if she does, I will ask her how bad it hurts, and let you know.

its only in your arm. its just like the flu shot, or any other shot. nothing different. the only difference is you get a set of 3 shots. the first shot is when you go in and get it, the second shot is 2 months after. your third shot is 4 months after your second shot.

it is through intercourse. i was diagnosed with it before i got the shot. i have the version with no symptoms and can possibly go away on its own. they said most likely it will.

Even WITH this very new shot (no long term studies done to it!), you may still get the four forms of cervical cancer they say it'll prevent!

it is like a regular shot i just finish with mine... look on wiki! itll tell ya all ya need to know hun!!! dont worry!!

When i went in for my first shot, the nurse warned me that everyone that has gotten it, says irt hurts more than any other shot they have gotten. After getting mine, i did not think it hurt that bad. It did sting, when she put it in, but thats it. I tolerate pain well tho, so you may not go by me. Also, it is a series of 3 shots, the second shot is 2 months after the first, and the final and 3rd shot is 6 months after the 2nd.

it does not hurt anymore than any other shot - and you do need to get a series of 3 for it to work, but for all the good it does, it is worth it.
