Can HPV be transmitted even if I had it a long time ago?

WHEN I WAS 6 I COULD HAVE BEEN INFECTED WITH HPV
I HAD SOME SORT OF WARTS SPREADING TOWARDS MY v****A BUT THEY WERE REMOVED,NOW IM 20YRS OLD IS THERE ANY CHANCE I CAN STILL HAVE IT AND PASS IT ON.

HPV is yours for keeps. You could get it in your youth and give the same on your death bed.

I believe the virus does lie dormant...but you need to ask a doctor for sure.

HPV can be transmitted even if you have no visible symptoms. HPV will remain dormant in the body till the rest of your life. Bacterial STDs are curable, viral STDs are not.
Please take HPV vaccine, viz., Gardasil.

As far as I know HPV stays in your body forever. My friend has it and she now has to take medicine and make sure she uses protection because she can pass it on without realizing it. You need to go to a gynecologist to get your answer. Its better to know anyway right?
