HPV and former virgins?

I have seen all the commercials and the pamphlets, but how exactly does one get HPV or cervical cancer? I realize it is an STD, but are you still susceptible if both you and your partner have only had sex with each other? What I mean to say is, can I get HPV if my boyfriend has only had sex with me? (and me with him)????

According to the CDC, it is generally spread from genital contact with a person infected. So if you were both virgins, and have remained faithful, then you should not be getting it.

No you can't get it as far as I know since it is an STD. You can only get it from having sex. Best always to use a condom anyways unless you are at that time in your life where you can raise a baby. Have fun but be careful!!!

Emma is correct. I would like to add that you could still get cervical cancer for other reasons but not the kind that starts from of HPV.

Nope, because neither one of you had to start with, since you were both virgins
