HPV shot??

About a week ago my daughter who is almost 12 got a shot for HPV she doesnt have HPV but it is just to prevent it, But now it is warm to the touch a bit purple and it is hard and feels like a lump, Is this natural for her shot wound or should I take her into the doctor?

She may have a reaction at the injection site, but by now you shouldn't even be able to find the spot. You certainly shouldn't be feeling anything there, nor should it be warm or purple/bruised looking. It's possible that the injection got a small capillary and it's simply healing- but to be safest you should really have the doctor have a look.

it's normal for the injection site to become swollen and hot to the touch but after a week i would think that would go away. give your dr a call.

i got my second shot (3 in total) about 2 weeks ago, it was sore for about a week this last time. if it gets worse take her. my first one was only sore for the first day. i guess it depends on the person giving to you and how relaxed you are.

Neither of you are smart!!!

Sounds like a reaction to the serum....See a doctor to get a topical. and then she can have that same shot again due to a sensitivity.

Sounds like she got a hematoma from the injection.
It's always good to take her back and be checked; it shouldn't feel warm to touch.

This vaccine is not only useless but also dangerous. Google "dangers of hpv vaccine" to learn more. I would discontinue the shots. Educate yourself!
