Two years ago I was diagnosed with HPV...?

Two years ago I was diagnosed with HPV. About a year later, I got pregnant and had a beautiful daughter with no complications. After having my daughter I had a Pap Smear test and it came back negative. My husband had bumps in his genital area and went asked the doctor, he said they were warts and burned them. I know that genital warts is a strain of HPV... but how come even though I had HPV before I never got genital warts?

I agree with thekate; some people are asymptomatic and may never show outward signs/symptoms of an infection. It sounds like your body cleared itself of the HPV, which does happen.
Mind you, out of the 100 strains:
30 are known strains for gential warts
06 are known strains for cervical cancer

Now, there is no known test reliable for men to see if they have HPV. The only way doctors are able to tell is just how your husband found out, through physcial symptoms. HPV effects women more so than men, so I would think his body at some point will fight off the infection or may not.

Good Luck.

Some people just never show signs. Everyone is different. You are just lucky.

Wait!
