Am I at risk for HPV? |
I have only had sex with one guy. He's never had sex with anybody but me either. If you to only ever had sex with each other then you are at a low risk but every person who sexually active is at risk......so if what your thinking is maybe getting the vaccine I would......... Yes you are at risk! not really if you as well him was the only ones Yes,I don't think you have to have sex to be at risk for HPV. It is estimated that 80% of women will have been exposed to HPV within a few years of becoming sexually active. Pretty much everyone is at risk and pretty much everyone gets it. Most women have immune systems that can prevent the virus from causing them any problems. Some women, however, will have abnormal Pap smears due to HPV and a minority of them will progress to cervical cancer if untreated. Because of this, the medical profession suggests that all women get annual Pap smears starting three years after first sexual activity. |
