Have you had HPV vaccine, or are you considering it?

The HPV vaccine is pretty popular for teens. Has anyone heard this side of the story? Let me know what you think.

No way am I getting it. I know that it has killed some girls and has caused some major adverse reactions. I'm not going to inject something that hasn't been thoroughly tested over a long period of time. We don't know if boosters are needed or how long the vaccine lasts. I think it's just a way of making money. They are scaring parents and girls into getting the vaccine. There are 100 strains of HPV and not all cause cancer. The vaccine is supposed to target those that do but it only covers 4 of the 100 strains. There is a huge push to get this vaccine to girls and women and it's all over the place. I think it's truly sad that they are giving a vaccine to girls without knowing or caring what may happen to them because of the vaccine. A lot of people, even health professionals, are saying that you should give it because it does prevent cancer regardless of the risks. But it's hard to ignore the risks, especially when we aren't sure how well it prevents cancer.

I have gotton the HPV vaccine and i'm fine that I know of. Thank you for sharing that. It makes me kind of wounder about it now. But nothing I can do now.

Even if I was in the right age group, I'd NEVER get it.

1. too new. no long term studies have been done to the vaccine.
2. it is not 100% effective! it may not prevent you getting cervical cancer.
3. it only prevents four of over 100 forms of cervical cancer.
4. it contains carcinogens, WHICH CAUSE CANCER!
