Yes, Women and men it don't matter. Once you have it you never get rid of it. You will die with it, there is no cure!!

It depends on the strain of HPV - there are over 100 strains of it to date. Just like with women who are infected by certain strains of HPV, it can just go away - your body can fight off certain strains of HPV. That is why when a woman has a pap exam and they find it to be HPV, they tell her to come back again for another pap in six months.
It is the same with men - depending on the strain, your body could fight off the infection and you would not carry that strain anymore.

There are MANY types of HPV... the only ones that men usually know they have are when warts are present... HPV cannot (from what I heard) be tested for in men and they are just "carriers". HPV is a virus TRUE however many women, and men, bodies fight it off. I have known people where there bodies natually faught off HPV... in others it lead to cervical cancer and they had Chemo... and are now rid of HPV... HPV is curable... but its not 100% in every situation...
