If you have hpv and you get it treated will you always be a carrier of hpv?

how can they guy get it. Is the only way a guy can be a carrier by having sex with someone else or can it be in the genes ? cause we were are first for both of us. so why would i have it if hes the only one i did it with. and im the only one he did it with?

It depends what you mean by HPV. There are many strains of HPV, and most people will get at least one sometime in their lifetime. Most strains are harmless and the body will fight them off naturally without you even noticing. But if you're referring to the type of HPV that causes genital warts or cervical cancer, then it's forever.


I'm sorry to be so blunt, but did you ever consider that your boyfriend was lying about you being first? That's certainly the most likely explanation.
