Are warts on your finger a sign of HPV?

i have a wart on my finger. its raised and its been treated once with liquid nitrogen. but it came back. and now i have two more teeny tiny little ones on another part of the same finger and one of them is on a different finger. is this a sign of HPV and if so, is it at all related to the STD type of HPV? ive had the wart since before i became sexually active. info please. thank you in advance.

so because i have hand warts, would i have a better disposition to get genital hpv? and if so, would it clear up eventually?

all warts are caused by hpv. there are over 100 strains of hpv, about 70 of them are passed only through sexual contact, the others are responsible for warts you find on the rest of your body. it does not guarantee that you would be more likely to get genital HPV and if you touch someone sexually you aren't going to give them the STD version from your finger.

No, those warts, along with planters warts, and entirely different than genital warts.

Warts can grow way deep. If it has been treated but won't go away, chances are it spread. And you prob touch a lot with it because it is on your hand. You need more treatment until the sucker goes away. The root is prob deep.

I once thought I had a wart on my hand that was treated and treated but it never went away totally. I went to a new dr and he said it was not a wart but eczema. You may also need a second opinion. :)

Warts on your fingers are caused by HPV, but there are many different types of HPV. The STD is not the same HPV as that causing your wart.

There are over-the-counter meds you can apply to warts to get rid of them.

Usually not, since you have tried cryo, now try liquid from drug store and see if that works. If all else fails go to skin specialist. Could or could not be HPV...? don't know. A specialist can test for it. Hope this helps.
