I recently discovered HPV virus.Had 2tiny warts, got medicine.when can i have sex without a condom again? |
we just decided that i will go on a pill with my boyfriend but i want to be sure that he wont be infected. my doctor says it should take only some days to be cured since it was not serious yet. Please give me advice since I need to know. thank you. Ummm are you kidding me. HPV takes 6 months- over 2 years to leave your body. I was just diagnosed with a low risk strand of the infection and my doctor said I must refrain from having ANY sexual contact with my boyfriend until my immune system has completely rid it from my body, otherwise I will pass it on to him. There isn't a pill you can take to make this go away instantly, otherwise I would deffinately not have it. Condoms are also not an effective form of protection since they don't cover the entire infected area. You will need Pap every few months to track the progress, and take vitamins to boost your immune system but other than that there isn't much you can do. I know you might want to listen to the "easier" replies but your boyfriend will deffinately be upset and you will probably come to regret the decision. Seems like sex without a condom is what got you in this predicament. KEEP IT WRAPPED! Something like 70-80% of people have been exposed to some strain of HPV virus and is very common. Certain strains are linked to cervical cancer. In men it doesn't do much damage aside from ocassional genital warts. Make sure you keep up on your pap smears and ask dr. for an HPV test when you go for next pap. At this point I would say spreading HPV through unprotected sex should be down on the list when compared with pregnancy, gonorrhea, HIV, syphillis. Herpes Cant be removed from the human body It seems like if you have sex with your boyfriend with out protection (even under medication) will increase the chances for him to get infected.... the problem with herpes is that there is not a cure yet so you will always have it in your system USE PROTECTION still this is not going to be 100% effective to prevent transmission |
