Who's going thru HPV? |
I want people to share their experience with HPV with me ... I was diagnosed with a high risk strain of HPV. I guess I didn't get the Gardisil vaccination soon enough. Now I have to go get a pap every 3 months. I have had 1 colposcopy which didn't show any signs of Cancer. I have heard that cervical Cancer is a slow spreading Cancer so as long as I keep getting checked, I should be okay. It is important to keep your immune system strong so your body can fight off the infection and prevent displasia from turning into Cancer. You will be fine in a year but it changes how you think about sex and I had to have a hysterectomy for having tons of bad paps.Be monogamous and careful.I just quit sex for a year. That was 20 years ago. I had that when i was pregnant it was so bad that i was just 1 step away from cancer but it all went away right after i gave birth my doctor said its all the hormones fault but i still get checked by the doctors just in case and trust me im not getting pregnant ever again. just stay healthy and practice safe sex. i have had hpv for nearly two years. i got bad paps n had to take the vaccine to prevent it from getting cancerous |
