Can one catch the hpv virus or a sexually transmitted parasite (scabies, crabs) by a handshake?

just wonder the risks of people working in the social service field

You can from person whom has touched infected genitals and not washed,but as a rule not likely as that's not the place where these diseases habitate. I know as work in medical field where come into contact daily with folk who have and those that maybe carriers etc.
Good hygiene practises will stop any chance of infection ..鈾?/div>

Yes and yes. scabies are like litte lice that burrow under the skin. they are very transmissable and like te webbed spaces between the fingers.
HPH is actually mislabled as an STD. It is the virus that causes warts. if somebody has a wart ant you shake hands, there is a chance (depending on skin condition...) that the virus can be passed on. If you then go to the bathroom or touch your genital region without first washing your hands, you risk HPV infection. the key is to wash your hands frequently.
(I forgot the number, but there is a huge percentage of the population that has HPV without knowing it or having any issues because of it)

if they have hvp or warts on their hands then they could possibly transmit it through a hand shake. most viral stds take body fluid passing from a person with an std to a person who doesn't.
