Is the HPV vaccine a good idea?

I dont know much about it. I know some girls at my school are getting it i was just wondering if i should look into it. i am still a virgin so i no i can. my mom has talked to me about it but i wasnt sure if i wanted to have it done or not.

thank u to everyone for ur opinions i appreciate them

I got it and i'm 24. it doesnt matter whether or not you are a virgin. my gynocologist highly recommended it. I would def look into it. maybe get some more info. from your family doctor. its 3 shots. the second one is 2 months after the first and the last one is 4 months after the 2nd.

YES! It's a fantastic idea. If that had been available when I was your age, I would've gotten it in a heartbeat. It's best to get it before you become sexually active. Most people will get HPV, most never even know it. However, it's the leading cause of cervical cancer.

Getting vaccinated now greatly reduces your risks of health problems later on!

It's a great idea! It won't prevent all types of HPV, but the ones that can be serious are eliminated. And you are at an important time to consider it, before you have sex. One of the Doctors the invented it is my supervising boss. He's a great man, and has put a lot of work into this.

Good Luck!

I asked my doctor which happens to be female about the hpv shots because I have 2 daughters, she absolutely thinks it's a great idea so my daughters will be getting theirs.
