Can someone get hpv by using a sex toy?

Can someone get hpv by using a sex toy?

Yes, if you share it with someone else. If you share sex toys, use condoms over them or clean them between uses.

only if its been used by someone else..

If it had someone's body fluids on it and was used by another person, yes.

Otherwise, no.

The human papillomavirus (HPV) can be transmitted though most types of sexual activity. The virus is transmitted through sexual skin-to-skin contact with an infected person. No penile penetration is needed to contract the virus. When it comes to sharing sex toys....yes without first disinfecting

You Can Reduce the Risk of HPV

There are several ways you can reduce their risk of transmitting HPV:

* using condoms on sex toys if sharing
* using gloves when touching genitals
* limiting the number of sexual partners and practicing safe sex
* staying in a monogamous relationship

HPV cannot be 100 percent prevented, even among heterosexual couples. Abstinence from all sexual activities is the only real method of prevention, although unrealistic for most adults.

If cleaned appropriately probably not. If used between 2 sex partner intimately...probably yes! There is a new case of STD/STI every 8 minutes in the world...why become a statistic? Use condoms! :O)
