3rd HPV shots...??

Oh my god, I am getting the 3rd HPV shot soon! There is nothing I have ever been more terrified to do in my life.. i'm serious. Has anybody ever gotten it? Does it hurt? PLEASE help!!!!!!! I really need to know. I have actually been dreading this day for about 2 months. So, is there anything that will make it not hurt so much? I got the 1st one, and it doesn't really hurt, then i got the secocnd shot and it hurt. So does the 3rd hurt? I need to know!!! Please help!

-Molly-

Also, is there a booster shot for Guardacil??

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

No, no bootser, I think the third was the least painful of the three. Remember to relax and don't watch. Afterwards don't favour that arm keep it moving. If it gets bad use an ice-pack and take an over the counter painkiller.

Good Luck, Be Brave

yes it hurts so bad, you can feel the liquid go into your muscle.

No, no boosters. The two shots after the first are the boosters, to which its protection period only lasts about five years.

Merck claims that everything's "normal" even when many girls have fainted, been in excruciating pain from it, been injured, or died from Gardasil. They said the burning has to do with the "virus-like particles" and the fainting spells are due to "anxiety". When there are dozens and dozens of girls who suffered the same, I seriously doubt that claim.

I see nothing normal about it. I would recommend not getting it at all. I as anyone else on here can only help so much, but it is your body to take charge of. You can talk to me if you wish to know more.

My recommendation: Refuse it.

You can search dozens of articles that Gardasil has neither been proven safe nor effective, that the clinic trials were skewered to give the impression that it's safe, and lots of conflict-of-interests. Which all makes me question the ethical practices of Merck with their cash-cow Gardasil to compensate for their Vioxx losses.

"Be one less...guinea pig for the Big Pharma and the government" (I saw that earlier today on YA!).

Are you kidding me? Do you know how many women would love to be able to change places with you? How many of them would rather be going to the doctor to get the vaccine for HPV then having sections of their cervix burnt off because of possible cancer cells caused by HPV?
You should be thanking god that this vaccine came about at the perfect time for your generation. Don't forget to thank your parents too.
