Are genital warts always always caused by HPV?

Where could I have gotten it from if it is HPV? My mother is not infected. Is it possible by sharing soap with someone to contract it? Symptoms began way before sexual contact.

Also, if my partner has gotten the HPV Vaccine, is it safe to have sexual contact with her or is there still a chance for her to become infected?

Yes, I understand I must see a professional. Until then, I'm just curious.
Please cite your sources. Thanks!

The vaccine only protects you from 4 different strains of HPV (the kinds that cause cancer). However in most cases, if you have warts, you have low risk HPV which isn't generally linked to cervical cancer. So the answer is that even with a vaccinated partner you can contract HPV.

Skin to Skin contact--not necessarily sexual penetration. If you had not had this before the symptoms, you need to see a doctor (regardless). There are different strains of HPV, some causing warts and some dont. You would need to consult a doctor with these questions prior to any new sexual activity. Sources are knowing people who have HPV w/ genital warts and without.

HPV IS genital warts. If you have warts, you have HPV

While you can have HPV and no warts, you can't have warts and no HPV.

Sometimes a mother can pass it during childbirth, are you sure she doesn't have it? The only other way is skin to skin sexual contact.

Don't quote me on this one, but I would assume that if a person is vaccinated, they would be safe from it. That's what vaccines do, right? Keep you from getting it?

Please go see ur friendly health care professional.

maybe yes.
