STD risk with escort, specifically cancer causing HPV? |
I am with someone whom I care very much about. Parts of her childhood prevent us from being as intimate as I would like. I without a doubt I want to stay with her. I have been considering seeing an escort lately, in an area where it is legal. Putting aside morals and ethics, I wonder what type of medical risk this would create. My partner and I have only had sexual contact of any kind with each other, so neither of us have any STDs, including HPV. I have been able to find information about general STD risk, however haven't been able to answer my worries about HPV. From what I've read, an escort would almost certainly carry HPV even if they didn't have symptoms, right? If I have protected intercourse with an escort, would I almost certainly carry HPV to give to my partner? What about receiving protected or unprotected oral sex from an escort, does that carry an HPV risk? Is the HPV/cancer risk small enough that it's not worrying about, or is it something I should worry about? I have read that even when using a condom, HPV can be spread, since a condom doesn't prevent general skin to skin contact. Most people (90%) have HPV already and don't know it because most strains of HPV cause no symptoms in the carrier. What you two should both do is (1) get the "Gardasil" HPV vaccine and (2) wear condoms. USE A CONDOM! Wear a full body condom and bath after. Why would you hire an escort..I'm sure SOME woman out there will have sex with you for free. for a guy getting an unprotected bj, carries no more risk than unprotected kissing why would you need an escort if you have a girlfriend already? condoms or oral protection decrease chance not make it impossible to get,,, my advice dont mess with a escort why do you want an escort when you have someone you want to stay with :S The risks of STDs are very high with anyone who engages in risky behavior (prostitutes, MSM aka men who have sex with men, intravenous drug users). My first advice would be simply not to do it, but if you are sure you want to, make sure you wear a condom. The HPV cancer risk is actually more of an issue for women than for men - it has been linked to cervical cancer. It probably has some link to male cancers as well, but it is not as well-established as cervical cancer in females. If you care about this person you wont risk giving her HPV. Going to the Doctor, and having him tell you that you have Hpv, is like getting kicked in the stomach. A man can carry Hpv and spread Hpv without any side effects. To him self. Do you really want to risk giving her cervical cancer? http://cme.asccp.org/faq/histHPV.cfm#7 You ever play bingo? It's sorta like the luck of the draw. You may have the card in front of you, but you don't know the number till it's called. And the worst part is, this is a game you don't want to be calling Bingo on. |
