I just got diagnosed with high risk HPV...I'm so scared!!!? |
The kind that causes cancer, not the kind that causes warts. I'm so scared, will I be able to have a normal sex life? What about oral sex? I've heard the chances of my immune system can help fight it off, is this true? My pap was abnormal, does that mean I have cancer from it??? Please let me know!!! Yes, you will be able to have a normal sex life. As for oral sex do not try that or let anyone try that on you...they could get infected. Yes, there is a chance your immune system can help fight it off. I was diagnosed with low risk HPV and had a colposcopy and biopsy done. Your doctor might suggest doing that then go from there. After determining the results from your colposcopy and biopsy they will give you treatment such as cone biopsy, cryotherapy...and other treatments. Your abnormal pap smear does not mean you have cancer unless your doctor tells you you have cancerous cells. Good luck. idk, your doctor should go over this with you. if they didnt, call back and talk with a nurse or something. you shouldn't have had sex. you are going to hell now. How did they test it. Through PCR? they'll probably to a co oscopy(???). then biopsy. ughh, viruses are horrible |
