When did i get hpv?

I have been married for 10 years, i know have noticed that i have what seem to be genital warts........can i have them from an old partner from 10 years ago and just now be showing symptoms?

DO NOT BLAME YOUR SPOUSE. I developed genital warts recently and was utterly in shock over it. I had been with my long term girlfriend for 2 years. She blamed me for it, accused me of cheating, and even when she seemed to get over it for a few days, yelled at me for sleeping with "whores" and all types of things before breaking up with me last week. I had them removed surgically was was an extremely painful procedure due to the location of the growths. I never, ever slept around, and consider all my ex girlfriends (total of 3) to be honorable people even though the relationships failed.

um- you may want to find out how faithful your spouse is. just saying that its more likely he cheated on you and gave it to you than it showing up a decade later. Yeah, um sorry?

I would have to agree with Aileen, but it is possible in theory,
Medics say that you are most probably aquire HPV with the first sexual encounter. HPV can be dormant for a long time.
That's why the most dysplasia is found in woman in their 30th. It shows up at the time of stress on your body.

u can have them from an old partner! u can just b a carrier and not have broke out. but ur husband could b a carrier and just never had a breakout and gave it 2 u!
