Parents with HPV and their children? |
O.K. so today my friend came over and she brought her daughter over to play with mine there about 2 yrs. old.. I've know my friend since high school and she really is a great person but I know she has HPV which it's non of my concern and I really don't care but I noticed when she changed her daughter, her daughter had like 3 little bumps near her anus.. Well I asked her about it because I'm very concerned and she said her daughter has had them for 2 months and that she doesn't know if it's the HPV or somthing else... She is to scared to take her daughter to the pediatrician because she doesn't know what will happen.. So I was wondering what your thoughts are I'm really concerned for her little girl, and my friend is really a good parent but I don't know what to think what are the chances of her little girl having that? her and my daughter have bathed together should I stop that??? I'm not trying to be rude I'm trying to protect my own child, and comfort my friend but I don't know how to do that... If you don't like my question then please just don't answer.. I'm trying to be as sensitive as possible, I don't know anything about it and I've very concerned. It's quite possible the mother passed it along during delivery. Another possibility, and I don't mean to alarm you by bringing it up, is that someone has molested this child and passed it on. Most likely that would be a sexual partner of the mothers. It's sad, but it happens. The baby definitely needs to be seen by the doctor pronto. The mother may be a good mother like you say, but she's not currently acting in the best interest of her child. Obviously she is not a good parent because she is putting her own needs before the health of her daughter.. and yes i wouldn't let my children bathe with hers and tell the mother why!! i agree with first answerer. Your friend should know if they treated her for HPV during pregnancy. It's concerning that your friend is scared to take her child to the petriatrician because the above is a possible sign of sexual abuse. |
