ok first thing is, && no im not askin this b.c i think i have it i hate when ppl avoid the ? and say stuff like that so yea. The thing that stinks about herpes is the stigma associated with it. You don't think twice about someone getting a cold sore on their face, but you freak out if they have genital herpes. Having it genitally just "proves" that you have had some sort of sexual activity. OMG! Can you imagine someone actually having.... sex??? People have a very poor understanding of herpes. For most people it really is no big deal physically. Many have no symptoms at all and most have very mild symptoms. When you consider that 90% of those with herpes do not know they have it, it is obviously not a big deal to them. A yeast infection or jock itch are usually far worse than a herpes outbreak. Sadly, there is no cure for herpes, but there is treatment. There are also medications that reduce the spread of it from one person to another. Oral herpes can be transmitted from mouth to mouth, mouth to genitals, and genitals to mouth. It can even be on other parts of the skin though it is less common. There doesn't need to be an open cut or sore to get or give it. If someone with herpes contacts thier lips on a cup, chapstick, ect. and you drink/use after them on the same spot, you can contract it. The stink about herpes is there is no cure. Stress, sun, illness, and heat can all cause a sore to develop. If it is on the genitals, women may give it to thier children as they are born. 1st off when i say its a |
