NO, you are not going to die. HPV is aka genital warts. It is very common in today's highly sexual society. HPV is a common STD, where did you find out that you have it? The doctors office, if so they should have provided you with more information. It really isnt that bad, it just gives you a higher chance for getting cervical cancer so its important to go to the gyno once a year. Also, you can get genital warts from it. you would think your doctor would talk to you about this. try wikipedia, just research it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexually_tr... almost everyone in one time in there life id going to get HPV its extreamly common i got it when i was 13 so dont be worried it could cause cervical cancer or gentital warts or it could cause nothing it just depends on what type of it you have there is over 100 diffrent kinds of it and some have diffrent side effects and youtr not going to die HPV is a form of std...but you can get it if you have warts...like if you get warts on your hands...or if you came into contact with someone who had active warts on their hand...then touched yourself down there after touching them.... I dont believe you can die just from the warts, but if left untreated you can get cancer... I just found out I have HPV too but no it doesn't mean you are going to die. HPV is a form of STD but it can be caused other ways too like skin to skin contact. HPV is very common. The doctor may order you to do a colposcopy, the "paint" your cervix to see if they find any abnormal areas(they will turn white). If it does turn white then the doctor will have to take a sample of the areas called a biopsy then he will give you the results of it. Good luck with everything and don't worry the doctor will tell you anything you will need to do to prevent HPV from coming back. |
