HPV - the differnce between the kinds?

I have HPV I went in and had the spots removed and it tested positive for cancer cells but they got it all. Even though it was the cancer kind can it still cause warts? and what other side affect can I watch for, I dont' know what to look for when having a break out, if I even get a break out?

So if I have it I can give it to my husband? Does this mean he to then has breakouts? Does this affect his mouth. I don't think my husband knows yet that HPV causes warts. I just found out myself. My doc. didn't explain it to me well I had no idea it was so serious. Could it effect him or I orally?

Your Pap found abnormal cells on your cervix. The abnormal cells were removed from the cervix. Our HPV test only screens for high risk HPV types.

You could have HPV on the vulva or in the vaginal canal but most HPV types do not show as visible warts. They are invisible causing no signs or symptoms.

Your partner already shares your HPV types. Men do not always show signs of high risk HPV types but they can. We can also carry multiple HPV types meaning you can have HPV types that can show as visible warts. Your husband may never show genital warts or any signs due to your shared HPV types. Most visible warts of the penis or vulva re low risk HPV types 6 or 11.

There is no DNA FDA approved test to screen the male for high risk HPV types. Most males are diagnosed via visible genital warts.

Follow your doctor鈥檚 recommendations for Paps smears and HPV tests. Most often these two tests will find any abnormal cell changes well before they develop to a cancer.

Most of us build a natural immunity to our share HPV types.

High risk HPV types can affect the oral area. Your dentist can check your mouth for precancer cell changes. For more information on oral HPV

Basically the warts were transmitted inside to the cervix from a partner and they were there long enough to cause the cells to change and then to cancer producing cells, they would of said what rating you were CIN 1/2/3/4/5. Once they have lasered them off they really should not come back but they tell you to come back and have frequent Pap Smears 3months 6 6months and yearly check ups till your out of the danger zone which usually takes a year or 2. And the more burnings or laser operations you have the more danger you have of not being able to have children as when the burn the wart cells off they do take more which is really burning away your cervix, which is what holds the baby.

I had the treatment under a local back in 2002 from my memory, and I have went on to have a wonderful partner soon to be husband and a wonderful baby boy who is 1yr old.
