you just tell him, he can't really get it, but he can spread it to other girls, just use a condom and you dont really have to worry much about it. But let him know that 80 percent of women have it, its nothing life threatning for him.

Yeah, it's an STD.

is it a kind that causes genital warts? if it isn't, than the it would to be best to tell him that there are no risks to his health but you wanted to be open about it and let him know.

If its the strand that causes warts, then you need to tell him. And be willing and open to answer any questions he may ask. Always use a condom and don't have sex when you have warts present.

Honestly, you just need to put it out there. Be prepared to answer questions, since most people aren't familiar with HPV.

It can be a scary prospect of putting out there, but keep in mind that there are ways to be safe with HPV, and it's important that you're prepared to explain this to your partner.

I think I read somewhere recently, that there is now a vaccine...but I'm not positive on that last one.
